Previous experience in this field of activity:
Tilapia farm management "Tropo Farms Ltd.", Ghana (2004 - 2007)
- Setup and expansion of the production from 50 to 250 t p.a.
- Construction of a farm-owned hatchery for the breeding of 250.000 Tilapia fry per week
- Broodstock maintenance and and further improvement
- Production of a sufficient quantity of healthy and fast-growing fingerlings
- Harvesting, marketing and sale of high-quality Tilapia for the local market
- In-house production of high-quality feed pellets exclusively made from regional raw materials
- Feeding and grading of the fish
- Inspection of the water quality
- Monitoring of fish health and inspection and maintenance of ponds and net-cages
- Financial and administrative farm management
- Compilation of the farm budget
- Administration, training and coordination of the 30 staff members
- Since 2006: Set-up and construction of a net-cage facility in the Volta dam reservoir for the production of 2000 t of Tilapia

Project management "Trapia Malaysia" (2007 - 2008)
- Planning and construction of a net-cage farm for the sustainable production of up to 20.000 t of Tilapia per annum
- Planning and accomplishment of a pilot net-cage project in the frame work of the project planning
- Supervision of the construction of locally produced, high-quality net-cages
- Planning and organization of harvesting, transport, and processing towards high-quality Tilapia fillets
- Implementation and surveillance of an innovative traceability-system based on the genetic finger print method
- Recruitment and training of new staff members
- Close cooperation with the Malaysian government and the different public authorities for project support and the allocation of the necessary licenses
By now, "Trapia Malaysia" produces more than 5000 t of Tilapia in their net-cage facility at Lake Temenggor in Malaysia. The fish is subsequently processed towards Tilapia fillets, which show a very high quality and product safety due to the unique traceability-system.
